Hi Guys, rather than add to "the other side of the pond" thread, I've created one here.

Grizz found a terrific chess site & since registering, have had numerous challenges. So far, running 4 of them. Anyone else feels like a game, send me a challenge.

Grizz, if enough show interest, how about have a Team Canada?

Sidenote: - Sneaky, I forgot to take note of your queen - Won't happen again

I've got 5 games on the go.

Canada would make a good team, come on and have some fun.

@ Sirius - you won't find my style in any book, I use my own methods and yes alot of them are sneaky.

Well done Timmy. Did you challenge me? I'm sure I saw your name & clicked on accept, but nothing happened & your name no longer shows -I hope I didn't click reject by mistake - If so, I apologise.

The 14 day move time is excellent.

REALLY? - I go shopping & when we came back, find that I've been mated in 5!

First time ever, I've been beaten that quick - Well done.

Any future statements of yours, I'll take with a pinch of salt

Anybody else ever play tournament chess? I used to be 1900+ CFC rated. Haven't played in ten years though.

You have the right site. You just have to register to become a member of the site then go to the teams link and join team canada :)

I've tried several times. It just comes back with the form unfilled. No error messages.

You guys are gonna get me back into this crazy world aren't you?

Yep!!! I'm nearly finished with resetting the server & hopefully it will be all done by tomorrow morning. Just niggly confiurations. Then I will be available for challenges.

@Grizz, I'm really sorry I resigned our game, it was beginning to get interesting, any chance for another? Same with you Timmy - I need revenge after that 5 move destruction

Edit, Red you're now on the team - Can I accept your challenge tomorrow? Andrea will be home shortly & it's my turn to make dinner.

Sorry Grizz, I only realised that after I resigned. I guess it was just the frustration I was experiencing this end.

I'm xMenace there.

It is a great site, greater if you fork over the money :( I can't find a team option, but I thought I saw groups earlier.

Man, none of my games, about 9 so far, are following any sort of standard openning. I'm being forced to think early ;)

In well over 10,000 games I've played in my life vs. over-the-board (otb) rated opponents, I'm sure I've never seen 5 pawns in a row together. I'm sure I've seen four a few times. I don't know if 5.a4 was the best, but I couldn't resist ;)

My game boards are getting all buggered up. They are not reflecting the latest moves correctly. ANyone else?

I've kinda gotten into chess.com. I guess I've been long overdue for getting back into the game. 3-1-1 so far with a few more wins in hand.

Yep. for the past couple of days, it's been taking it's time after making a move. Also, several times, it's refused my move saying I'm the wrong colour. Weird, as I'm black & tried moving a black piece.. Seems to be ok now though.
