Those are great pics Zap, we still have lots of snow here, more than I've ever seen here in 23 years, and we are getting more right now. :(

We usually get most of our snow in Calgary in March and early April. If we don't, we have huge grass fires. I'm hoping for a decent amount to get the growing season off to a good start and keep the fires to a minimum. We already had one large fire this weekend just west of the city. Someone tossed a butt out their car window and that's all it took.

YA WE HAVE HAD IT PRETTY DRY THIS WINTER. I WAS SURPRISED WE DIDN'T GET OUR ANNUAL DUMP AT EASTER.
BESIDES THE FIRE RISK, THE FARMERS ARE GOING TO BE CRYING THIS YEAR. ITS TOO BAD CAUSE THE WEATHER HAS NOT BEEN NICE TO THEM FOR QUITE A FEW YEARS. I DON'T KNOW THE FIGURES BUT I WOULD SAY WE HAVE HAD ABOUT A QUARTER OF THE SNOW THAT WE NORMALLY GET. I HEAR THE MOUNTAINS HAVE NORMAL AMOUNTS OF SNOW, SO THE RIVERS SHOULD BE PRETTY NORMAL FOR MOST OF THE SUMMER. WE CAN HOPE SO, AT LEAST.
IF WE AIN'T GONNA GET THE WHITE STUFF, THEN COME ON RAIN !!!

WE NEED RAIN!!! (or lots of snow)

Calgary and surrounding area is now under a total outdoor fire ban. Only a gas fired Bar-B-Que is now allowed to be used outdoors.

It's been a long time since that's happened inside the city limits that I can remember.

I'm sure Toronto and the surrounding area would be happy to truck our snow out there. Record snow falls this year. I figure the drift on my lawn will still be there in late July! lol
