Was a member of another Canadian team, went to their board to catch up on news since it had been a while since i last checked in.
Long story short, the board was gone, and it seemed to me that it was stagnating quite alot considering the number of members in it.
So i looked around and came upon this lil gem of a place and made myself at home, thats all there is to it really.
Besides, i really like the idear of consolidating the canadian teams

Your team was one of the first which joined my project yoyo@home and holds one of the top places. Since this time you are on my watch list.

That would be me, the project wasn't showing up on our stats and upon further investigation I noticed that the name had all capitols in it, so I requested the project to experiment even though it was shut down at this time and merged with Climate Prediction. I changed the name to see what would happen and what do you know, Canada gain about 2 Million extra credits the next day and the project was on our stats.
There was a similar situation on Pirates, in fact here is the team: http://pirates.spy-hill.net/team_display.php?teamid=131
It was run by KK at the time but the name has spaces between the letters, but by the time I signed up on this site, Pawly had created a new team so I quckly switched to it and eventually KK switched as well turning the team over to someone else. Pity we couldn't save the points and the members. Maybe we should PM Chuck and get him to send notice to the other members. Chuck is on the team on alot of other projects.

I'm not sure which was first, SETI or Rosetta, but I was looking for the best team! LOL. I was on the SETI "Facebook" team, so it was probably Rosetta! I just joined on the weekend when I got my new MacBook on Saturday.

Greetings from London, Ontario! I was a former United Devices participant in distributive computing (DC) years ago after hearing a blurb on CBC about cancer research based out of Oxford University utilising the technology. I, or at least my old pentium III desktop, continued crunching for UD until I gave away the beast to my sister. A few years passed. With those years came the purchase of veterinary practice and a recent decision to computerise said practice. I figured, if I was going to be eating Kraft Dinner for the next decade to pay for the toys to acheive this goal, I might sleep better knowing my investment wasn't sleeping more than me. I did a net search to find out what was "new" in DC, found WCG (Bionc) and the rest is history. We're still struggling to get the network and veterinary software up and running but the equipment seems to enjoy crunching. Idle computers do the Devil's work!
Cheers,
Tom

I was surfing Wikipedia and saw this as the featured article. I had been looking for a DC prog to run ever since UD quit their stuff and got absorbed... I feel like I am home... Well, almost... I am a Canadian trapped in an American body... so I think I shall move there In the meantime, I will crunch proteins for the True North Strong and Free :D

Found BOINC awhile ago because I was interested in Einstein@home projet. Back then I was in my own team ''It's never Lupus'' (pretty much the only member ).
LePandaRoux talked to me about this team a couple of weeks ago (btw, I think he's a fanatic of team Canada :D) so I decided to join.
