As a growing BOINC team, we need some ideas so we keep growing. Tell us some of the things you are doing or suggest options we may try to attract more people to our team.

Some things I've done:
1. Created a profile and put it in all projects. The profile has a link to our forum in it, so when I get UOTD the people will see the link if they check out the profile.
2. Made team recruitment threads in the forums on some projects.
3. Post in forums around the BOINC community with a link to our website in my signature.
4. Post in forums outside the BOINC community and giving a short explanation of BOINC and of course a link to our forum.

These are just some ideas, post any of your own here.

A FANTASTIC IDEA. I AM SURE THERE ARE ALOT OF PEOPLE VISITING FORUMS OF ALL TYPES. I HAVE
4 FORUMS I VISIT. I HAVE PUSHED THE TEAM IN ONE BUT PLAN ON MORE. TROUBLE IS I WOULDN'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY, SO WHERE HAVE YOU POSTED AN INFORMATIVE BLURB ON BOINC ?
I'D LIKE TO SEE ONE.
PERHAPS IF WE KEPT A LIST HERE OF FORUMS WE HAVE HIT, IT WOULD BENEFIT US ALL.
I'LL START WITH THE ONE I'VE HIT SO FAR WITH THAT "CLICK HERE" BUTTON THAT LEADS BACK HERE.

If anyone has access to put banner on some websites it would be very usefull.

Grizz, we need some banners that will link visitors to sign-up pages or similar info page.

Just look at ESL team. They posted sign-up link with information on major fantasy sport league website. In less than a week thay had 3000 members!!!

I haven't done much posting on other forums but I did some posting here where Ripcat started a thread before we managed to catch up to him, but I found I couldn't post links or pictures there until I post about 10 times but a link in my signature worked. What I did there was just post a simple message to update the forum so people would notice the new post, and it worked I noticed more hits on the forum on days I posted there and Ripcat has recently put a great message there you should check out.

We have some of team genesis members on this site, in fact Borg moderates the optimization section. We do have pictures and banners on some team pages and in our logo contest, if you know of any sites you can post them on fell free to use them. I will look for some good locations on the weekend. I agree with you that the team can get big but it will take time. We get all kinds of hits but only a few sign up.

Well I modified my profiles on every project. I added a link to join our team on that project, hopefully some people who aren't crunching for teams will notice and join up. Now we need more members to create profiles on all thier projects with links to the forum and joining our team. This way there is a better chance one of us will get UOTD.
