Hi,

I am about to deploy 150 quad core machines and need to install BOINC on them all. I use boincstats BAM to manage my machines. Is there someway of having an install script that I can easily run and install BOINC how I like it and join my BAM account ?

I generally include it in the sysprep image for workstation deployments, however if the systems are factory configured and you don't feel like using ghost server to roll out new images you can always try the repackaged msi approach found here:

http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Deployin ... n_networks

I haven't personally tried it myself (I've meant too - there just hasn't been enough motivation!). If you can't distribute the application through Active Directory (RIS), you can always use a remote execution application (e.g. PsExec - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysi ... 97553.aspx) to do the installation remotely. I've used PsExec in the past and it worked nicely for my situation. Since I haven't personally tried these approaches with BOINC I can't really give you any specifics as to how to configure things and run them in your circumstance, however it might get you a start in the right direction.

Good luck and let us know what your solution was!
