I usually have at least 100 to 150 WU's on hand at any given moment and now Boinc has only 12 WU's from 6 out of the 10 projects I subscribe to...not good.

Boinc is working perfectly as far as I know and I just keep getting no work available-type answers when I try a manual update, but I just thought that it was strange as I haven't seen this before.

That happens more often than you may realise. Most of the time it's because a server's gone down or just project offline for upgrades.maintainence. Nothing to worry about as Boinc squares it all up eventually.

I guess so, thanks Sirius B.

I'd been having web page loading problems and was blaming that until my flatmate finally confessed that he was downloading around 10 simultaneous torrents and hence taking nearly all my bandwidth. When I heard that the expression "justifiable homicide" came to mind.

My ISP, to whom I pay a hefty subscription, denies that they "shape" downloads despite my 95gb/month allowance (which I am nowhere near) and "hi-speed" (10mbps down, 1mbps up) cable connection, but it would appear that they do.

He'll be doing that overnight in future, when I'm asleep.....or else he'll wear his blasted computer around his neck.
