Hi guys, is it me or has the forum display got smaller? On accessing regular forums late this afternoon, found the display with very small fonts, yet main net pages ok. Did notice that the forums with the smaller font size/displays were all php 3.0 forums.

Any way to return the display to normal size? At first, I thought that I may have inadvertingly changed settings, but it's the same with all rigs.

Are you running Vista by chance? A recent upgrade changed the default of font sizes for most windows, and changed something called smoothing edges of screen fonts (find it on the classic desktop settings page, under "appearance settings" - "effects"). I do wish Microsoft would at least tell us about this, better yet give us a choice.

Took me awhile to find all this, thought my eyes were going for a while ;)

Got really fed up with Vista, so upgraded Andrea's & my rig to Win 7.

It may have been an MS update but I've been having problems with my main workstation since it's setup at new home. They've been niggling little problems that have been really bugging me. As a test, upgraded Andrea's rig rather than a clean install & was pleasently surprised at the ease & how well it accomplished it & with all programs running smoothly.

So went ahead & tried mine. what a mess, no joy...at 1st it wouldn't upgrade due to Virtual Server & PC 2007 being installed & for some reason, could not uninstall them. Got that issue resolved & Win 7 installed, then the fun began..........

Couldn't access boinc (6.6.36) after 1st using the net or local net, when accessing again at a later time, both would drop out, & even logging off & back on wouldn't get it up, only a reboot would do it. tthis had me really bugged, so worked through the night until I could resolve the issue. Again no joy, so said stuff it, set nnt & had breakfast. Unpacked some more & started reorganising storage & furniture. just after lunch, restarted machine & gave it one last try before I wiped disk.

Amazing, it installed with only one program being problematic...boinc...could not access it via the taskbar icon. Tried an upgrade (6.10.11) while it was running & it seems to be running ok.

Main problem is that on my workstation, it still shows the forum with small fonts, whereas on the other rigs I upgraded (they were also showing small fonts), everything went smoothly & font size back to normal.

Will have to find my little servicing logbook as it may need a full clean.
