Hi guys, got a problem that I need help with, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Back in June 08, i registered my domain name in readiness for getting my small business a better professional image. Now that i'm ready to proceed, find that the supplier who registered my name is no longer trading as a retailer (he is a network specialist so concentrating on that, so I've been told).

I have tried all means of contacting him but no joy to date. Is there any way that I can get info/contact details on the company that registered my name as I need details to get SBS 2008 up & running.....

Just do a "whois" search - http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/index.jsp

It'll give you info on the registrant, etc...

Wow, that was very interesting....Thanks User312. It shows me as the registrant & also the co that registered it. Will have to contact them to get the info required to get SBS (mail & web) up & running.

Marvellous though...a regular customer of his & he spells my name wrong.......

WOW, got that issue resolved only to have Microsoft ****** up my network! SBS killed all my Win 7 machines...Vista Ultimate ran ok. Checked via MS forums & there are many experiencing the same problems.

SBS 2008 is supposed to be Win Server 2008 Standard with SBS running on top........Win 7 is supposed to integrate seamlessly with Server 08 according to Microsoft. Fortunately for me, all machines were backed up via WHS even though SBS had interfered with that setup as well. Ended up having to to a Bare Metal Restore on 2 of the rigs, which gladly were successful.

I was thinking of trying the following: - Finish setting up the SBS & attaching Main workstation to it & keeping rest of machines seperate on WHS network. So is it possible to use 2nd onboard NIC on workstation to attach to SBS, while leaving the 1st attached to WHS Network (to maintain backup as normal)?

Still having problems in getting my DN sorted, but have managed to secure the .com DN.

Spent quite a bit of time before the holidays searching for a web design/web host that would provide what I need without too many restrictions & managed to find one that I think will do the job. Vistaprint of all people, never expected that....lol

I would really appreciate any comments/help/advice & even suggestions in adding to/improving the site.......

Hey Sirius B
The site looks pretty good.
Is it easily accessible for making changes?
Two things I thought of was a Terms and Conditions page stating all the usual legal gobblygook concerning repairs and sales. It could help save some problems later.
Another thought was a page for selling off "aquired" systems.
Other than that it looks pretty professional.

Thanks Zappdog. Yes it is easily accessed & changes are instant. I don't want too many main pages, i need to sub-page them with links back to the main pages. It can be done as i've got the Professional package.

Unfortunately, the instructions on their help pages for creating sub-pages does not work, so will have to wait until tomorrow to call tech support.

Also, one of the many advantages to that package is that no HTML coding is neccessary, all the work is done for you & it even gives me a Paypal shopping cart & will also accept Credit Card payments via the necessary software (have that in my Business Accounts package).

I really am amazed at the services Vistaprint provides & have already ordered many stationary items to compliment the website. what I also find amazing is the monthly cost, I'm only paying £10.76 inclusive, which I personally think is great value for money.

Also, thanks for the T & C reminder, I'd completely forgot about that.

It seems that the sub-page linking is a fixed format & cannot be relocated.

Is it possible to convert a hyperlink to a html clickable banner?
