Microsoft has released Vista SP1 to manufacturing this week, so it should be available shortly as a download. From what I've seen in the SP1 notes (MS Partner News), it clears up a lot of problems.

Whether or not it will enable more take up of Vista will remain to be seen.

Included updates found here:

Win2k8/Vista SP2 updates

"System Requirements
Supported Operating Systems: Windows Server 2008; Windows Vista Service Pack 2
Microsoft Excel
"

Looks like you'll need a newer version of Excel (2007 or the Excel viewer/compatibility pack) to view it as it's an .xlsx document.

By the way, is this a 32 bit only version? I don't see anything related to 32/64 bit in the download, but my Microsoft Update on my x64 install doesn't pick it up as an available update yet.

To answer my own question - yep it's 32 bit version only.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, not sure if it's my imagination or not, but for the past month or so, net access on the Vista rigs have been sluggish, with Oh Canada's forum, really slow.

Been checking all the upgraded SP2 rigs, & net access is pretty fast, & smoother.
