So I'm getting off the highway today and this jerk cuts me off to get onto the ramp. Pretty common so I didn't get to upset. Now this is a real long ramp (DVP South getting off at Bloor for those in the know) and this dude is weaving in and out of traffic and getting nowhere. He cuts me off again and I give him the horn. Well this guy doesn't like that to much and is flippin' ME the bird and then stomps his breaks! I Stand on the horn and yell my @$$ off and he finally starts going. Watching me in the mirror. We both make a right and he slows down again. I don't wanna mess around with this guy (I'm a lover not a fighter ...... but don't piss me off  ) so I change lanes to go around him. As I pass, all of the sudden something hits me in the side of the head and I can't see! The little (pardon me) Bastard threw a full cuppa Tim's at me! Medium Double Double. In hindsight ...... it was a pretty good throw. I'll spare you the profanity that ensued but long story short, He squeeled away like a bat outta hell and at first I started chasing but then decided I didn't want to get charged with assault myself. So I got his plate and went to 52 Division.

I have the day off tomorrow. I guess I'll be washing the car.

Hope you all have a safe and happy Weekend. I'll see ya'all in September!

Great pics Zap! Those fruit carvings are used as buffet props and edible centerpieces at weddings and galas. Depending on the size and complexity, they can cost hundreds of dollars a piece! Takes lots of practice though ........ good thing the mistakes are edible!

HEY PAWLY
I REALLY WISH I HAD A PHOTO ALBUM FROM MY CHEF DAYS. I WAS INTO ICE CARVINGS FOR QUITE AWHILE AND PLAYED WITH THE LARD TYPES EARLY ON IN MY CAREER. THEN I GOT INTO CAKE DECORATING AND SPECIALIZED IN THEME BIRTHDAY CAKES WITH A NUMBER OF WEDDING CAKES AS WELL. OBVIOUSLY YOU'RE IN THE BUSINESS SO YOU CAN UNDERSTAND WHY I GAVE IT UP AFTER 22 YEARS. I GOT REAL TIRED OF THE WEIRD HOURS. I WAS IN THE CATERING BUSINESS FOR MOST OF IT. SEEMS I HAVE A COUPLE OF PICS OF BDAY CAKES KICKIN AROUND. I'LL POST THEM WHEN I FIND THEM.
SO THAT EXPLAINS MY INTEREST IN FOOD ART.

No kiddin'? A Chef? LMAO! Man I can't get away from you guys! lol Yeah, 22 years would take about 3 inches off yer height I bet. Been about a dozen for me so far, but bouncing around various hotel and catering positions keeps it interesting ...... so far. QUOTE Yeah, 22 years would take about 3 inches off yer height I bet.
MORE LIKE ABOUT 4 INCHES WITH THE PERMANENT SLOUCH FROM PUTTING AWAY TOO MANY FOOD ORDERS.
AS PROMISED I FOUND A COUPLE OF CAKES.
THIS ONE WAS FOR A 99 YEAR OLD TEXAN MUSICIAN AND HIS FAVORITE SONG WAS
THE "YELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS" AND THAT IS THE FIRST BAR OF THE SONG

Image

THIS ONE WAS FOR A SCARY LOOKING WOMAN. A PRACTICING WITCH (BLACK MAGIC AND ALL THAT CRAP) THE ONE IN THE BACKGROUND WAS A PECAN AND AMERETTO CREAM.

Image

DAMN. NOW I'M GETTIN HUNGRY AGAIN.

Hey there guys! Quick question that was PM 'ed to me. I'm not sure so thought I would ask the team.

Quote:
Hi I was wondering if when we wish to switch teams, do our stats follow us and add themselves to team total or do i restart over in the team contribution?

Well?

Seems to me that stats follow the user, at least they did when i came over here. Easiest way is to take a look at team member movements i guess.
ie. if someone with 600k credits changes team, it gets deducted from his former team and then added to the new one.

Then again, i could be wrong

that question is too general. if it's a Boinc project, although you keep your points, they are not added to the new team, and conversely, not deducted from the previous team.

Your total stats stays with you but any points you got for a team stays with that team and new points you crunch will go on the new team but your total will stay intact. If you weren't crunching for a team before and you join one, your points will follow you onto the team points on some projects, other projects your points may not go to the team but your total points always stay with you.

The only odd BOINC project is World Community Grid.

If and when you switch teams, points accumulated under old team are not transferred to the new one. Points that you accumulated are still counted as yours no matter what team you're on.

Things I would like for BOINCmas!

USB Desk Top Xmas Tree
Image

USB Cup/Coffee Warmer with 4 Hubs
Image

AND OF COURSE!!

USB Missile Launcher & Free Retractable USB Hub

Complete with software to launch the missiles, plug 'n' play, aim and fire. Aim at a target via a software package on screen and fire. The USB missile/rocket launcher fires soft foam darts via your mouse and works with Windows 2000 and XP.

The missile launcher pans 180 degrees and tilts up to 45 degrees. A simple move of the mouse will aim the missile and target those in the office who need a bit of a rocket up them.

Once the software is installed it will allow you to navigate the missiles trajectory with your mouse. You can select your target, and push fire which activates a sound effect and launches a missile.

Not suitable for children due to small parts. Recommended for ages 10 and upwards. (DAMN!!)
