Hey Guys,

I just joined the Rosetta@home and the SETI@home projects, as well as team Canada! I'm a student here at the University of Western Ontario (working on my BMus in Voice Performance). I look forward to crunching with you guys!

Hi. I'm just a computer novice but I joined team Canada and I'm running PrimeGrid on my 2.7Ghz 1gb ram Pentium D 24/7 . I really like the idea of lending my computer to science. I have a 2 Ghz 2gb ram Core 2 Duo Dell laptop as well but she's my baby and I'm really wary about making her work her precious parts 24/7. Anyway, i'm sure most of the stuff you guys talk about on this forum is way over my head but I'll definitley be checking in from time to time.

How do you guys get those cool boxes in your signatures that list your Bionc credits? (just in case I haven't already figured it out by the time someone answers)

HOWDY STEVE 2000
WELCOME TO THE TEAM. WE WELCOME ALL CRUNCHERS. COME BACK OFTEN AND WANDER AROUND. THERE ARE MANY IN HERE THAT ARE NEW TO THE CONCEPT OF NUMBER CRUNCHING AS WELL AS MANY VERY EXPERIENCED. I HAVE FOUND THAT GETTING HELP AROUND HERE IS ALWAYS A PLEASURE.
AS FOR YOUR DESIRE TO SHOW YOUR STATS, I KNOW IT IS IN HERE SOMEWHERE AND IF I FIND THE INSTRUCTIONS I'LL POINT YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. IN THE MEAN TIME "GRIZZ" OR "PAWLY" ARE REALLY THE ONES TO ASK THAT. I HAVE DONE IT BUT AWHILE AGO.
TRY http://boincstats.com/page/faq.php#3 AND SCROLL DOWN A BIT. THERE IS A HELP ON ADDING YOUR STATS TO YUOR SIGNATURE. HOPE THAT HELPS YOU.
LATER
DR.Z

Aha, now it works. I actually thought I had it figured out myself. I got a tag for a banner like the one Maxwell has and I entered it in my signature but when I checked that first post that I made the banner hadn't been added. I realize now that unlike some message boards this one doesn't update old posts with your new signature. Anyway, it works now. Thanks for the help and the warm welcome.

The signature wasn't attached on your first post, I edited it and added.

Anything else you wish to know just PM Pawly or myself, or you can post in the Questions & Answers forum.

Feel free to hang around and have some fun.

Hi guys, just a short note. I got the ps3 up and running with linux yellow dog and today it finished its first work unit for Canada. First one in Canada to get er done, kinda proud of myself getting the code right to run linux and then to get all the processors to run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This machine is really fast. I got one window running windows xp, had a spare osx disk so on another I got my mac software running on it too. And while running ps3grid on another window ( getting 150 credits a hour). If anyone needs a hand let me know, cuz it took me a month to get it right with all the changes and to get the wireless running on it too.

Phil

Great job Philzie, I am glad someone got us moving on PS3. When I get a PS3, I'll be in touch to get her running smothly.
