Do not cheer to early, the challenge is not over yet. Making cows angry is never a good idea.

Oh, and if we loose:
BLAME CANADA!

Seriously though: you give a good challenge, making the race so much more fun. Thanks for that.

Well, I do know that Mad Cow is a bad thing, that's why we kill them. hehe

It's good to hear from you, I love a nice tight challenge. Good for everyone involved because we all try to get more recruits to work on these great projects. Keep crunching xahmol, you know we will!

I am going to make sure I have some Dengue Drug wu's to do in the last hours as they are much shorter. BTW, when exactly are the last hours in EST?

I think it would be around 8:00PM your time, or midnight UTC time.

What's the best way to ensure my results are all submitted given I will likely be out of the house at that time.

Use the update feature before you leave, that is about all you can do.

Why the evil grin? I stole the idea from a DPC post on your forum! (BIG evil grin)

We need your help! En, vooral die 'Additional Buffer Days op 4 dagen of hoger zetten (local prefs in BOINC 5.10). Op die manier wordt het werk bijna altijd onmiddellijk gevalideerd na inlevering.

Anyone else starting to see "No Work is Available for ... (work was available but is committed to other platforms)" ? I seem to be seeing it creep up on WCG now.

Our lead has dropped to 23632 points, it looks like the race will be down to the wire!!

@ Rintaran
I haven't seen that yet on this project, I'm sure they'll have work soon, it just means they ran out temporarily on the platform you are using.

That'd be my vista machine. My XP boxes are both still pulling it clean.

Hi Ripcat,

The DPC are hard core competitors. They've been in some tough races in the past. Most of us are new at this so I'm not above pinching a good strategy they posted for all to read and using it to our advantage.

Well I know it was posted at our forums before, but I didn't know you knew (help, the enemy decoded our secret code! Thought nobody could read Dutch, too many Dutch immigrants in Canada I am afraid). Just forgot to actually reapply this setting after reformatting my PC recently, so you reminded me to check.

And @Ripcat and that to victory picture: you DO know that an orange lion is the national symbol of the kingdom of the Netherlands? So glad that you acknowledge that we fight this battle against cancer, dengue, aids etc together but that you also acknowledge the biggest warrior is us

At least in today's score we again managed to have a higher daily than you, so we are closing the gap again. Our cry for mobilisation did result in some dual and quad cores joining, so hopefully validation does not cause a too big lag for them to have effect.

Oh and that cowabduction thing: well, who do you think is abducting them? I did call for mobolisation of ALL cows, did I ?

It is going to be a very very close race!

Reminded me too! Thanks DEEPEECEE and BEEBEE!! :-D Xahmol, I tried to register to post at that forum (wanted to say hello like you did here :yup: ) but accounts using gmail are not allowed. Please extend our warm wishes for the Holiday Season and our thanks for an excellent Christmas Race! It's not over and looks like it will come down to the very last minute!!

I was under the impression that the lion symbolized England? Although given the History between Canada and the Netherlands during WWII, the picture makes sense.

Judging by some of the results we have been posting, I think some COW-nucks have joined Canada!

Would love that as well, alas all machines are completely locked to any kind of install and don't have admin rights (besides breaking more corporate policies than I would like).

BTW: said high on behalf of you on the DPC forums. Glad to here our anti-Canada IP block at least prevents the enemy to join our ranks after failing to prevent to read it

Kudos to a new cruncher WhitehillsAnimalHospital
http://boincstats.com/stats/boinc_user_ ... id=1356379

BOINC Stats start Dec 9 and has 32,328 BOINC credits already, all for WCG. What's that, 175,000 or so WCG points? I don't know how or if they are converted.
