Great job, you guys. We both score way higher than before the challenge and even in the middle of the challenge, so stirring each other up is proving very beneficial for WCG (and that is of course what matters the most in the end).

But we have still some hope: yesterday/the day before yesterday several extra machines were moved from other projects to WCG that still have to get their first results passed validation. Hopefully they kick in in time before the end of the challenge to make it at least a close finish.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed hoping we can pull out a win since so many of you pulled out all the stops to increase work being down at WCG!

Due to a request to join the 12 Days of Xmas challenges I have done so. Any work not completed on time for the Christmas Race will count in the 12 Days challenges(points, runtime and results).

Have a Merry Christmas all!!! :D

Ok 1 day left!! We're down by 46986 points !!
Everyone keep hitting the update when your computer finishes some work, in hopes of getting validation in time for the finish. It's not that bad, we can still win this.

A BIG Thank You to all those who crunched so hard in the Christmas Race. We pushed a tough team (DPC) reallly hard and I think we came togrther as a real team.

Congratulations on the great effort and thanks to Grizz for posting the results each day.

We now have the 12 Days of Xmas Challange to keep us rolling into the new year at WCG. I understand any pending points will count towards this challange.

Merry Christmas to All,

Bill

Final Results:

1 Dutch Power Cows 16,549,567
2 Canada 16,345,827
3 Rechenkraft.net 12,684,111

Congratulations to DPC and Rechenkraft.net !!! A very close race right until the end!! I don't think anyone knew for sure, until the final moment, what the outcome would be. DPC ..... wait till next time!!

And congratulations to our team for putting forth such a fine effort in our FIRST Big Race!

Also big thanks to you for making a very challenging race. We had to get cows from all other projects to beat you.

And very happy holidays of course!

It looks like we have won the Canadian Communities challenge, we have more than 3 times the score of the second place team.

It also looks like we have 2nd in the other challenges, SETI.USA has first. It would be tough to beat a team from a country that has 10 times our population!

For people interested, it is time to start preparing for the nest POTM, Einstein.

Optional, stay on WCG until the 3 challenges are finished on the 5th then go to Einstein.

Hope you all had a great Christmas and have a happy new year! :cheers2:
