sieve WUs complete in just under 48 minutes on my quad. So that's 4 every 48 minutes. Or will be once my last couple of lingering Einstein and QMC WUs get finished.

If I had looked in the right place to begin with....

If you are running Linux on any X86 machine, you will only get LLR units at RS. There is one application written for Sieve units under Linux and it's for Power PC machines. I was wondering why I could only get LLR on my Linux box. :(

If anyone got Sieve units on their x86 Linux machine, please let me know. I even let the units run out and reset the project but no luck. (Run test apps. is set to NO).

BB

EDIT: Rintaran, that's one killer machine you got there!

Nothing any quad can't do. Frank's phenom 9500, though technically a step slower than my Intel chip, is keeping pace in the crunching. I suspect his ability to OC his chip a bit (vs mine being locked) may have something to do with his catch-up in processing.

I've had to throw some extra cooling in my machine because running it at 100% was shooting the temperatures uncomfortably high. With the stock fans, it was running near 65 C, the max rating for the chip. Now I tend to run around 48 C, so there's not nearly as much cause for concern.

I have a computer down, you'll probably see my numbers drop until I have time to fix it.

Ya, it would be really cool but I only have access to a few puters. I work for a large company that has a large number of fast computers but it also has a large book of rules that largely rules out anything personal which is a large bummer!!! :(
