I'm at a bit of a toss-up over this one. The only one I haven't met my current goal on is SuperLink, but it has fairly high RAM requirements (1GB - not much for todays PCs, but a lot of the older boxes won't be able to make it out!) and only has sporadic work. I'm definitely leaning towards either Marlaria or Cosmology (I have enough ABC credits for now...), but like both projects for very different reasons.

Anybody wanna throw in their 2 cents and help me make up my mind?

On Superlink the wu's are only 24 hours deadline and long too so if you are running loads of projects on the same pc the others get shoved to the side as superlink continuously runs in high priority

I like ABC for this one. We are not doing very well there, 33rd by RAC and 21st by total credit which is getting worse fast.

They run in roughly 6 minutes each on my core duos. There's been steady work the last month, but the stats indicate they may be running low. They aren't too bothersome if you run a few to suppliment other work, but if you dl a bunch, they do push other wu's aside. I like doing them, but I'm not in favor of a potm until they become more user friendly.

That's about the time lines I see as well. For me I just leave it run on several PCs and let BOINC calculate the long/short term debts to deal with the amount of work that gets attributed to it.

I went with ABC. My numbers are starting to hurt there because of my exclusive participation in the various PoTM and the way I've ignored all the other projects (save QMC). Our team numbers there are also in need of quite a bit of work, as Grizz pointed out earlier.

vaio - if you're on the team, you've a right to vote for your choice of PoTM. You can also suggest other projects to be in the running for future PoTM.

@vaio
we know you crunch for another team, but this section of the forum is not blocked so place your vote if you wish.

I seem to only be able to do ABC, SETI and Rosetta on my Intel Mac. Everything else I tried, didn't seem to work... so I voted for ABC.

@Kelly
They all support Mac's except Cosmology and DepSpid, maybe you don't have enough memory, I know Superlink requires 756MB.

Surprise, surprise! I know it's one of your "pet" projects. I ended up voting for Malaria as well, but would be happy with Cosmology too.

Caught me. :oops2: Pardon the pun, but when you compare it to other projects it's just more "down to earth". To be honest, I think if malaria were a larger problem for industrialized nations, it would have been eradicated already. Malaria effects some of the poorest people in the world and since I'm "Donating" my computer time..... Just my opinion.

But yeah, "Pet Project" is a nice way of putting it. Watch out for the mosquitoes!

Well, I voted for cosmology, but if ABC & Malariacontrol win, I'll attach to both.

I think that cosmology should be knocked out of the POTM for the time being. Scott has suspended the project until they have ironed out the errors everyone has been getting.

If a project gets voted and it doesn't have any work we run the second place project.

By the looks of the news they should be up and running by April without a problem. We'll keep an eye on it though.

This is the letes new from it. It should be ok. I'll keep and eye in my wu's to see if there ok. This was a pain. Some wu were getting stuck at 95% droping back at 50 and going back at 95 but didn't finish. I had to abort some off them after 24 hours running. Lucky for me that i had access to all my comps. :comp3:
