It was fantastic! The moon was huge!! My friends and I drove up to higher ground and had an eclipse party, complete with a barbecue. We had the clearest view we could have wished for here in northern BC. We even saw the satellite being shot down.
And that's a nice picture hobb3s. I need to get a new camera, mine isn't powerful enough to take astronomy pictures.

Thanks, it was a spur of the moment thing, I was outside in my t-shirt taking a quick shot. I'd love to get a better camera too, hoping for a DSLR in the next year or two. Maybe a Nikon D80 with a 18-135mm lense. *drool*.

I missed this thread earlier, and unfortunately Hobb3s’s link seems to have expired … anyway, this is a reduced version of one I took with my Canon PowerShot from the street in front of my house in Edmonton; the other two objects are Saturn and Regulus (alpha Leonis).
