It's lovely that the forum has been around for such a short time relatively and has grown so much! I'm number 188!! I should visit more often though, it's taken a couple hours to read through the hundreds of posts I've missed in the past couple weeks.

Wild and Wooly Weather!

We just had a severe hail storm here about an hour or two ago. Started off like golf balls trailing off to large pebbles. It was coming down so hard and fast that it looked like a blizzard or whiteout. Lasted all of 90 seconds and managed to completely annihilate my fathers vegetable garden, flower gardens and dented the roof, hood, and trunk (that would be roof, bonnet and boot for our UK friends) of my car. Not sure if I can claim the damage against my insurance but will look into it tomorrow.

CALGARY USED TO BE A MAJOR HAIL AREA BUT NOT MUCH FOR A FEW YEARS.
GOLF BALL SIZED CAN GET A BIT SCARY, THEY SURE DO A LOT OF DAMAGE TO CARS,
GOOD LUCK WITH THE INSURANCE COMPANY. I HOPE MY BROTHERS CADDY DIDN'T GET IT.
HE LIVES NEAR YOUNGE AND MAJOR MCKENZIE. AND HE DOESN'T HAVE A GARAGE TO PARK IT IN.
ANY PICS OF THE HAIL ?

Yonge and Major Mac got hit too (it's a out 5 minutes from me) and I'm afraid I didn't even think of getting pics or vid of the chaos, I was more concerned with my wheels. Sigh.
