A few random comments:

Not being able to see my text cursor against the black background makes editing very difficult. (Using Safari/Mac OS X.) Is it possible to change the background colour, in text-entry fields at least?

The “Quote” button is misspelt.

The forum seems quite slow, sometimes timing out—I don’t suppose there’s much to be done about that.

Whinging aside: hello all, and I’ll try and drop in from time to time.

GO SENATORS!

You were reading my mind as I just the other day was reading posts on another forum with the same complaint.

I have enabled the Board Style menu in everyones profiles but the only choices right now have black backgrounds (sorry) Also, the network isn't really up to speed yet so adding more choices might have to wait a bit.

"Qoute"!!! LMAO!! Oh Man! I never noticed that! lol It is on the template itself and I will inform FreeForums! Oh That's Classic! Sharp eye, Odysseus!!

Can you change the default on the front page so the music doesn't automatically load.

Heh. Well I think the reason the autoplay isn't popular has to do with people's surfing habits. While online, most people are already playing their music, so having it autoplay on a site often causes either horrible sounds or a problem with people's sound cards. My question is, why is it on the main page, but not the Oh Canada! Toolbar? I don't know if anyone spends more than a few seconds on the main page, but I've the Oh Canada! Toolbar open whenever I'm browsing, so putting it there instead of that random mix of stations currently built-in would be better (especially if a random function were added).

Ok, Autoplay is now dissengaged and Random play is engaged!

I WOULD like to add it to the tool bar but I am limited as to what I can add. Although, I will give it a shot and see what happens (i'm not exactly an expert when it comes to HTML). Also the Music Box can be opened as a stand alone player so you can have it in the background as you surf! Since the forum seems to be moving a LITTLE faster than yesterday I'll do some editing now.

Keep yer fingers crossed!

Sorry Pawly. LOL

We know what you are going through though. Our forums lasted about a month with this host. Then Rick got so irritated with the downtime that he just decided that he could do better himself. Turns out...he was right...lol

Hey Pawly

Good job putting the links on the portal, but can you get them to open in another tab or window?

HEY PAWLY
WHILE WANDERING AROUND IN A FAVORITE PUPPY FORUM http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=132803#132803 I NOTICED THAT WHEN POSTING IF YOU SCROLL DOWN BELOW THE EDIT PAGE THERE IS THE TOPIC YOU ARE POSTING TO WHICH IS NICE FOR REVEIWING TO KEEP YOURSELF ON TOPIC. THE WEBPAGE AND EDITOR IS VERY MUCH LIKE THIS ONE. IS THIS POSSIBLE HERE?? I HAVE NOTICED WHILE REPLYING OR POSTING IN HERE, THAT IF I NEEDED TO REVEIW A POST I HAD TO OPEN ANOTHER PAGE AND GO TO IT.

JUST A NICE LITTLE TOUCH THAT WAS PUT IN THERE THAT I FOUND QUITE USEFUL.

I TURNED OFF THE HTML AND THINGS SEEM TO BE WORKIN MUCH NICER. THANKS PAWLY

Mornin' ZAPP,
Each topic or thread has two ways to reply.

1 Quick reply box. This is the small box a the bottom of every thread page. Type in your message and hit preview to look at it and make changes or submit to post it too the thread.

2 Post Reply. Hitting this button (located at the top and bottom of each thread page) Will take you to a new page to input your message with the aid of an Advanced BBCode menu, smiley's and preview button. If you scroll down on this page you may review the thread you are posting in. 8^)

Both of these options allow you to see the thread you are posting in. Need to see a different thread? Then you will have to open another window. 8^(

Yup, It was an unexpected side effect of changing the forum style to "Red Square". If you go into your profile page you have a choice of MANY different styles. Pick one, hit update at the bottom of the page and then see how it looks for you (I have added many varied style to choose from, I really like "What is Real". Originally we had "Red Glass" style as default but I changed it to this one for kicks. I'll change it again soon, to keep people on their toes!

Note: Regardless of what I make default, your style will remain the same while you are signed in. For example, guests and new members will have the default style and existing members will keep the same style they chose. Make sense?

Note 2: Due to the resizing of the banner I had to do for "Red Square" Style, Other styles may streeeeeeeeeeech your screen!

Sorry to disappoint, tried accessing it & was told that the forum does not exist!

Problem my end or yours?

Regards

PJ

Obviously someone somewhere is using floating point numbers instead of integers. Curse those noob programmers
