I love my Macbook... , but I get really depressed sometimes by the fact that not all projects have a Mac application on Boinc so I have installed Windows x64 XP on Vmware just so I can trial Boinc, has anyone any experience with emulators?

Ok that didnt work well, my Macbook slowed down to a snail when I started the windows emulator and both Mac OS X and windows froze, guess I need more than 1gb of RAM

I am going to install Solaris and FreeBSD on my vmware today, as I have bumped up my ram on the mac to 2gb I thought I would give them a try, will let you know my thoughts later - timmy

OpenSolaris is almost loaded and it just looks like a blue version of Ubuntu so far, they have used a blue interface though with gnome instead of ubuntu brown and so far I cant see the add/remove programs synaptic manager, do they have a file depository like ubuntu???

FreeBSD has the most basic installer I have ever seen and I think that I may do a good bit of reading up on the web before I install this one :(
