Didnt we run RieselSieve not too long ago?
As for POEM, we had 2 POEM-a-thon recently.
So that leaves me only 2 choices to vote on really.
Choices! Choices!

It looks like Leiden will win & with RS still down, will be switching my farm back to Seti as my rac getting very low.

Your RAC is down because of this months POTM. The credit payout is only about 3/4 of SETI's. And it looks like Leidens is even worse at about 70%.
Reguardless I will run it anyway.

Regardless of projects, it's going to be a low month for me. Have 3 rigs on vaction for most of Aug & have 1 personal rig down. Also, due to the heatwave here, have started shutting net down at night as heat upstairs becoming ubearable.

Seti's practically out of work at the moment, so attached to Leiden - put all personal rigs on it & leaving all external as they are. 11 cores should be enough.

I know how you feel. Just had to abort & detach my server from Leiden as it locked it up. Don't know what it did, but the only solution is a server reinstall  Another 24 hrs wasted  Thank God a reinstall protects files already on server.

Edit: - a reinstall is a no go. Can't start a new install as it will wipe out all data. Fortunately, all data drives are ntfs & readable on other rigs, so installing drives on workstation to back up all films/music/data before commencing rebuild.

Oh boy............................OUCH!!!! That failed as well. 8 months work down the pan - That'll teach me to make sure I have all BACKUPS!!!

Literally within minutes of downloading Leiden, server was down. On checking their main page, I see that the app does cater for Windows X86 which covers Windows Server 2003. All I can think of is that something within Leiden disagrees with the Windows Home Server portion of 2003.

It completely corrupted the system volume which had all the tombstones to enable all the data on the other drives to be recovered. Without them, all is lost. Fortunately, I have all music & photos on 2nd drive in Andrea's rig so will be able to copy them over.

As for the films, ah well, just a case of re-doing them - thank God I have all the dvd's. Going to pop over to the WHS forum to see if there is any way to link WHS into another workstation so that I can maintain backup copies.

Sorry about the chess games guys, I won't have the time for at least a couple of days.

Hi guys, server back up & running. However, I won't take a chance on Leiden just in case it does it again. Whatever disagreed with the server, it took out a 500gb hd. At least it's still under warranty, so will upgrade it it to a tb. Still have to install other programs & once done will copy over music.

Have one advantage compared to original setup & film copying. I now have an 7 drive duplicator, together with the 4 in desktop, I should get them all back a lot quicker. It's still going to take at least 5 weeks before it's back to normal operation.

Is Leiden a regular provider or is it a sporadic project? For the past several days, keep getting this...

07/08/2008 13:47:58|Leiden Classical|Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. Requesting 0 seconds of work, reporting 3 completed tasks
07/08/2008 13:48:03|Leiden Classical|Scheduler request succeeded: got 0 new tasks

No long term debt problem as Leiden is the only project running on most rigs.

I got that on a box too. I figured it was because of their deadline is so short. I had dl'd 10 days worth of various projects at the start of the month, but it whizzed through the Leidens in no time. My other boxes are getting them fine.

HEY B TEAM
YOU CAN TELL WE ARE DOWN A FEW CPU'S THIS MONTH. I'VE NEVER BEEN IN 5th PLACE.
I'D SAY WE ARE MISSING MORE THAN JUST A FEW OF YOURS. I HAVEN'T HAD ANY TROUBLE AT ALL
WITH LEIDEN ON MY PUPPY BOX OR BOTH XP BOXES. THEY HAVE ALL BEEN RUNNING STEADY.
LETS HOPE NEXT MONTH EVERYBODY HAS A GOOD RUN WITH ROSETTA, BY THE LOOKS OF IT.

Hi Zappdog, I've noticed that my total credit per day has been dropping fast since I'm no longer running 24/7. Can't wait for the cooler weather.
