I just wanna say thanks to all of you for sticking with BOINC and making
this team one of the most impactful teams in recent history!

Here at Oh Canada! we never rest in our quest to help make Canada the most technologically advanced BOINC team around! That's why during this Milestone Celebration we've decided to unveil two of our current projects to you!!

First and foremost we believe in sustainable energy here at OhC! So having a place to crunch as efficiently and as "Greenly" as possible was first on our minds so we are taking the entire operation offshore! DATA BARGES. That's right. We're gonna crunch AND fish! It'll be great! Fresh seafood and credits galore! We will generate our own electricity and liquid cooling will be no problem what so ever. Who could ask for anything more?

Second, the Official "Quad OhC!ore" Powered Computer! Made in Canada and developed in partnership with a Traditional Canadian Company! They are limited edition and will be made available only to Team Canada Members!

With the OhC!ores crunching away on our Data Barges, this team really will be heading to the top of the stats pages real soon! Errrrrr UUmmm But of course this being Canada testing has been hampered by ......... local conditions that never seem to be a problem in other parts of the world.

The good thing is that while we wait for the Data Barge to thaw, we can help out production by emptying out the limited edition casings of their content.

Just wondering, is the forum dead?? There was a huge celebration for crossing 500,000,000 but none for the 1 billion, and now the 2 billion milestones.

LPR is exactly right. it took team "Canada" (there were many other satellite teams) almost EIGHT YEARS to get to 500 000 000. think about that. In just 2 we surpassed 2 billion. Not that its not an accomplishment in itself and we`re proud of course, it`s just different now with multi core cpus and gpu rocket boosters! ZOOM ZOOM!!

We were one of the original teams when they were first set up in SETI@home Classic. i wasn't around fer all that but when i joined up, jeez i gotta go look :roll:

`SETI@home member since 13 Jan 2007` we were a team in name only, not even a team thread over at SETI. BUT we had team Canada`s EVERYWHERE at all the major projects lol! All spontaneously created by different users who had not contact with each other. I got motivated and did what i could to collect the teams together and helped make this forum for us to organize and help each other.

But stuff happens and after a few years i was distracted by shiny things and had some stuff happen personally so i didn`t log in here much.

But i did just get a sexy new box so be careful about poking sleeping bears my friends.
