I just joined up for Cosmology@Home. I havent been following this forum much in the past 2 weeks.. Its been terrible for me lately in terms of personal issues, and also computer issues including accidentally wiping a 250gb drive with family photos, etc going back 10 years.. OOPS shoulda backed THAT up..
First impressions of Cosomology@Home: WOW even my old Sempron 3000 rips through these WU's real fast. Sure is nice compared to Einstein@Home's marathon 20+ hour WU's haha.
Though theres something unsettling about that single Phenom II outperforming all 4 of my computers put together
That thing's a geek's wet dream right there.

The M3A78-T is a HTPC/mid range gamers boards with 3 PCI-Express slots.
I don't know if it has server support
Where are you having problems with yours?

I upgraded server last weekend & WHS(Server 2003) installed without a problem. The Support CD would not install the chipset drivers stating that winnt 5.2 is not supported. Contacted Asus & received e-mail stating that the board does not support server sofware. I'm not really bothered about this as I've intended for sometime to build a HTPC - I just got the board for its cpu & expansion capabilities.
It has been suggested over at S@H that the version numbers of XP64 & Server 2003 are the same & that it may work - however I feel that if that was the case the support cd should have detected that fact. Checked back on Asus' site & found that the Asus A8N SLI SE that I'm using supports numerous O/S's including server 2K & 2003.
Will continue checking out the various Asus boards to see if I can find one that meets my requirements - mainly looking for a min of 6 sata with at least 2x PCI-E x1 slots, as I have 2 sata cards(PCI-E x1) providing 4 connections, & able to support server software.
If that fails, I will just have to use the usb slots for the 2HD NAS boxes I have, but I'm trying to reduce the power connections by trying to have most of what I want inside the case.

Btw, dont think ive ever had a 5k RAC on a single project, got close a few times at the end of the month, but never midway though.
At this rate ill maybe hit 200k in a single month on Cosmology.
Me likes!

Naw, just basing it on previous potm's where I've been at the top, only to get knocked off my perch towards the end.
Just over halfway, I think you could hit 10k easily.

Which means the team made roughly 2.5M credits in a month.
Great work everyone who participated in the POTM this month!
