Solar System done & dusted.

EMSO Stage 1 (Completed)

Even though this won't be as high as the Solar System, as you can see, the scale & detail is much better - hurry up March 2010

In our days of fast-food society, where the life of an object as been reduced to the minimum, I find it impressive that some people still use this "One-part-per-issue" technique to build some things.

I'm totally impressed by the Solar System and I'm looking forward to see the next project done! Month by month until next year :)

Same here. I find it more enjoyable, building things piece by piece, & having to wait a month between deliveries makes it all the more interesting.

As for the EMSO, the next delivery will complete Stage 1 Phase 2 - 4 with temporary feet to enable it to stand. Not sure though when the next one is actually due as all the publishers over here, have a gap of 2 weeks between the 1st & 2nd issues - at a guess, it should be early to mid April.

Thanks for the continued interest, it makes it worthwhile to continue posting it every month.

Just been wondering what will they come up with next year & will it be worthwhile?

Thanks Zappdog. I think the video of this when it's completed will be better than the Solar System.

Have been a bit worried for the past few days. Contacted all companies concerned & passed on new address. EMSO was 10 days late & hoped that it didn't go to old address. Got a BIG surprise this morning. Originally thought that the pedestal for the EMSO woul be similar to the Solar System one.

Boy, was I wrong. Due to the size of the package, only 2 issues instead of 4 were delivered & on querying this, was told that I should receive the other 2 issues shortly. I can understand why. This is going to be BIG. The weight alone of the plate is probably the weight of the whole Solar System pedestal. Can't build it yet as I have to wait for the 2nd side & bottom plate. Can't wait to see it with it's legs attached.

A finely tuned balancing act. Sorry about all the clutter, still have some organising to do....

Should receive the 2nd drum side & bottom either tomorrow or Monday according to the distributors.

Sorry about all the clutter. It'll be some time to clear as still trying to sort out storage areas.
