Team Video Games - team versions of games starring team leaders and team members - would be fun and draw interest from other teams. Perhaps more importantly, thru search engines and allowing the games to be downloaded and spread thru the internet - the games could be a good medium to hopefully draw interest from the non-seti public at large.
I know I want to do all I can to increase the number of new people joining seti@home. I also want to do whatever I can to keep seti alive -and that means "donations".
Sometimes, it is easy to perhaps become "tribal" or too focused "IN" on one's own team, on increasing team numbers, to inadvertently form cliques ... when we should always be focused "OUT" on the greater goal. I mention this as I have recently had a negative experience in my own team when a friend left and I attempted to support his right to make that decision. I believe that teams should have an open door: goodwill upon entering, goodwill and best wishes upon leaving.
Seti@home is a cause, and teams should be about fun, about making friends, about drawing interest and financial support from the general public so that the goal of discovering radio signals from an extraterrestrial civilization is realized..
What can your team do to reach out to the general public and draw people into seti@home? What can your team do to increase the donations seti@home nees to survive?
Just me 5 cents !

*reads over Knightmare's post*
Fnord?
Is your apple gold and does it have something to do with the original snub?
Do you colour like its the 60s at Woodstock?
No eating the sacred food, hot dog buns...

I have a modest suggestion (and I do mean modest)
I have a non commercial web site, with traffic that is still quite low (hence the 'modest' specifier). There are a couple of relevant links that I've managed to find an affiliate prgram for, but it's largely just to pay for the space, I don't actually see a profit from the site.
I'd be tickled freakin' pink to carry an article about Seti and Team Canada, with links to Seti, this Forum, and a link for donating to Seti.
I'm still at the point where I'm cruising the Seti site trying to understand the -details- of what is it they're doing, gazing spellbound at the graphical output and getting exciting about any spike that reaches the top of the box (Yes, I am easily amused), so I may need input help for an article but I have time, space and am hungry to learn more.

Awesome, if you want to include a bio/url/whatever along with it, this is an offer that's open to everyone/anyone. I'll set up the page and linkbacks to seti while I'm going thru aticles.
If you haven't seen it yet, the site (url in sig) has become mostly focused around sustainability, non toxic living. I think it's entirely in theme; those people who have an interest in mainaining the planet are highly likely to have an interest in what happens in the universe. Ooh I'm all awake now. This is very nearly as effective as coffee.
I'm gonna go chase the rabbits around the yard for a bit, bbl.
