Milkyway doesn't work properly now.... May be in 1 or 2 weeks it will be better with the new part of the project for GPU...

Milkyway are going to do an application for CUDA (but for GTX xxx only) and the regular optimisation for ATI (A bit later, for still the same, HD38xx and HD48xx)
So milkyway is a good project to promote GPU... But without GPU it will be difficult to get a good position.

With Enigma, it's quite easy to get a better rank.

You can try to be the first in Docking may be... you are quite close and produce quite well already

With RCN, it will be less easy than Enigma but still good to take better rank !

On April 30th,

Canada ranks 24th in total credit with 429,361 credits.

Canada ranks 19th in RAC with 1,752 RAC.

At the moment, the top 20 ends with 522,276 credits. We should get over this pretty easily, I guess. Let's climb up this ranking!

I have four more days on WEP-M+2 to get us a top ten spot, then I'll shift some cores to Enigma.

Glad to see someone took over the project once my Linux box bit the dust!

Not attached to this project, so have all internal rigs on Genetic Life & team's total should be over 300k by the end of the month.

Couldn't find Enigma on the Project Links list so googled it. Amazing - 67 years on & still not cracked. With all the current technology at our disposal these days, it makes one wonder how they managed to decipher those codes in the first place.

I recall when the Enigma revelations were revealed here for the first time back in the mid '70's with a mini tv series (Intrepid, I think, starring David Niven), would like to get that on DVD.

I read a book about it years ago, but unfortunately can't remember all the details! I've been meaning to dig it out again a read it again...maybe once my reading pile diminishes a bit...

It should actually be on the "Classic Canada" thread as William Stephenson was a Canadian busisnessman & setup the whole operation himself. Checked on amazon & found that it's only available on VHS & that they're asking £40 for it - that's too much.

Have e-mailed Warner Home Video as they own the rights, to see if they will ever release it on DVD. Jeebers, 30 years since it was broadcast here.

edit: - :oops2: got that wrong. the author, William Stevenson, was a British born Canadian writer & no relation to William Stephenson.

An improvement of almost 500 000 credits in one month! Good work all!
