I just downloaded the toolbar offered by this forum host and there are some cool features.

Currently:

*Button to zap you to the forum
*Search Function - Web or Forum
*Post and Private message update function
*CHAT! We have a chat feature.
*Something I've dubbed "CanMail"
*Streaming Radio
*Email Notifier (multiple addresses)
*Local Weather Updates

If you would like to help me test it out, download (should be a link at the bottom of your screen) and post your comments and suggestions here. I've never beena fan of extra tool bars but then I've never had quite like this before.

Let me know,
Paul

LOL! Hi John! Not very chunky but it has lots of tasty tidbits in it!! Actually I'm really starting to enjoy it. Seems I can set certain options from the Admin panel but the user can customize as well! I have added the "Watch TV" gadget to mine and have :

* CBC Hourly Newscast
* National Geographic Channel
* MTV plus two other music video channels

Also I've cutomized the Radio feature from this end but again users can customize! I'm still fooling around with it and if anyone wants to help me test, please download it.

Here's the Link http://SETIathomeCanada.OurToolbar.com

The Forums are slow as hell, it makes it very hard to post a message. But it should be resolved in the next 24 hrs.

The Canada toolbar does look great, very cool stuff. :lol: :lol: :lol:

I've added a projects tab for quick BOINC navigation. Let me know if you would like a new project added.

How about puting all the projects we manage the Canada team on. And put it in alphabetical order.

We should also have a wishlist forum for the toolbar & one for the website.

you should add the link for the team stats. And remove pizza since we don't have a team there.

Grizz, My Man!!

Three stats pages for you to squint at! I think Pizza@home is fun (and there is a Canadian listed, Goose in 23rd place, 175 Pizza's credited, 11.22 RAP!!) so crunchers who haven't seen it yet will get a laugh! We don't wanna be too serious! lol

Hey Pawly

I noticed the SIMAP link is wrong and VTU is missing.
Plus there is the new sites ZebraBrute & Zivis.

Just DLed the toolbar. Initial reaction: it's bright. But that's only because I haven't reinstalled my O Canada theme to the new version of Firefox yet. Otherwise, it looks pretty cool. I'd suggest trimming out the weather bit though. No need for that feature, and it doesn't show up on the screen if the music function is expanded anyways (unless you've a wide-screen monitor).

Oh, and you could remove the word "Search". I think the icon that you're using is pretty standard for that function.

If those are Boinc projects, would someone be so kind as to provide the links for me??

KM,

Look in BOINC News under Projects. Or Download the toolbar and you can have a link to all 47 (i think?) projects we have listed! :lol:

I already have OUR toolbar...lmao

47 projects??? We only have 30....I must be missing quite a bit. I know that when I created the team, I went to all the ones that were accepting new accounts....but I didn't think there were 17 that weren't at the time.....

* scratches head *
