I love my cricket.....BUT.............

They may be World Cup Minnows, but they sure threw a big scare into the English team..........

Canada Scares England

Sure hope they do well (but not as well as England.......... :twisted:

It's fairly easy to get to know & when watching a great match, it can be an absolute nail-biter.

Used to love playing the game, but in a semi-final game over 40 years ago, came close to losing my right eye. Was in a position to make a corker of a catch, but another fielder had the same idea, we collided, & ball hit me in the eye....those balls are HARD & can travel anywhere up to 95mph.

Despite the near-tragedy aspect of this quote, I have to say it's still funny how you wrote HARD with bold characters, as if you were still surprised at how hard it hit you back then.

You never played again after that? I guess eyes are more important than cricket wins.
