I am a Team Canada member on all the BOINC projects I've joined. Recently I joined Test4theory@home and have found that nobody has created Team Canada there yet. I would do it but I don't want to botch it because I know how hard it might be to change it.

I was under the impression that teams that are designated as a "BOINC wide team" are automagically propagated to new projects when they become active. Is that not correct? Or is Team Canada not a BOINC wide team?

If someone experienced in founding a team at a project could give me instructions on how to do it I would be more than happy to found Team Canada at Test4theory@home. Or someone experienced in the procedure could join the project and do it. You'll need to request an invitation code from b dot segal at cern dot ch as membership is limited while the project is in alpha test phase. If he replies that they don't want more volunteers at this time then PM me and I'll send you the invitation code they gave me.

I don't think we ever did do the "BOINC wide team" option, at least i didn't not sure about Grizz. I think because we have multiple Founders it wouldn't work.

I've done a little poking around since my last post, here's what I've discovered...

Go to the BOINC-wide teams page at the BOINC website. Click the Team Search link and then search for teams with keyword Canada. Yep, Team Canada is definitely a Boinc wide team. If you click the Canada link and then the Total Members link it shows you and Grizz are both members and Grizz is the founder.

The admin at Test4theory@home has informed me that they aren't importing BOINC wide teams yet but they will be. Guess I'll just wait until then. Or if you or Grizz wants to join the project and create the team that's fine too. A few other teams have done that already but there's no hurry, I can wait until they start importing BOINC wide teams.

I think you should create and manage the team on that project. GO FOR IT!!!
