Both SETI@Home Russia and The Planetary Society have less Active Members than Canada. Give your SETI@Home a slight increase in CPU % or Resource % and we will be Number 10 by Monday a.m. EST!

My guess is that people are spread out over many projects, or a re concentrating on rasing their numbers elsewhere atm.
Me, my primary boxes have suffered a series of breakdown over the last months, it happens.

Oh, and welcome aboard btw.

Thank you!
Just trying to stimulate a little action on SETI as the other Teams seem to be slowing down.
No doubt my box too will falter.
Regards

Hey Peter,

Thanks for coming and pushing a bit :). My main cruncher has been down for quite a while now :(

Thanks user312. I gather you had a separate machine dedicated to BOINC?
I recycled a computer with a good GPU last year. If I had thought it through and contacted SETI at that time, I would have set it up to crunch. At least it was recycled.
Has anyone noticed how some apps (e.g. Milkyway@home) absorb cpu cycles to the detriment of (apps like) SETI if you assign the same % resource to each?

actually I was a pretty dedicated multi-pc cruncher back before the GPU app days, but have since lost most of my boxes due to age related issues. My current main machine is 3 years old or so and is down by 2 fans which doesn't help much as BOINC pretty much overheats it in a matter of an hour or so. When funds become available for a new box (hopefully soon!) I'll be investing in another fairly solid box with a decent GPU. Just gotta get these damn kids from spending all my money first !
