Hi guys, over the past couple of days, my AVG7.5 has been flashing up a splash screen stating that it will no longer be supported after May 31st.

1st, DO NOT click on upgrade, it will only take you to a trial version of the commercial version. You need to go the Grisoft's home page & get the free edition.

I upgraded on Andrea's rig this morning & AVG now provides a serach shield for the net. However, I think that it does something to your net access as I can no longer access any account as it keeps giving me "incorrect password". To check this out, I used my workstation which hasn't been upgraded to 8:0 yet, & all sites/accounts accessible.

Will keep trying throghout the day & if still no joy, will post on their forums to see if it is AVG at fault.

I've upgraded my other 2 rigs & everything is fine, but still keep getting incorrect password on a lot of accounts on Andrea's rig. Have checked everything out & can't find any problem. Usernames & passwords are correct.

This has only happened after the AVG upgrade. Will keep trying.

I've upgraded all rigs & no problems except Andrea's. I still get the incorrect password problem. No other programs installed on it before or after the AVG upgrade. Still trying to figure out what the problem may be.

Uninstalled AVG8, cleaned up registry & rebooted. Tried accessing accounts & no problems. Reinstalled AVG8 from Grisoft direct & rechecked account access. No problems.

Only answer I can come up with is that I originally saved to disk (USB Drive) so that I can install it directly without having to waste time accessing the net through customer's rigs, used drive to update Andrea's. That copy must have been corrupted. I can't think of any other reason.

Thanks for the tip JPLiz.
