I've been looking around for something to replace my 20+ year old desk.

Three reasons really.
#1= It's seen so much use i've managed to "erode" the finish where the mouse is used.
#2= It's been bending in all the wrong places for quite some time now.
#3= It's time for a change, even more so since theres no room for "bigger" screens or more than one box on it.

So before i make up my mind and go and spend a ton of $$$ on a new one, i figured i might as well ask if anyone knew some (secret or not) shops or have any suggestions.

Dont know "precisely" what i'm looking for yet (U-shape, L-shape, Corner).

If your workbench is not in your lounge, why not try a "Garage Workbench". I've found several that are ideal & have already purchased another 2 similar to the one shown in the "crunching room", but without the shelf & they will really come into their own when we finally get our problems cleared.

Guess i should've mentioned the "where".

Rooms:
Small Bathroom = Im not -that- addicted.
Small Kitchen = Cooking grease to clog the fans?
Small Bedroom = Bed+Clothes dresser= Full room.

That leaves:
Medium Living Room = Where the current one "resides".

Its also where i spend most of my free time since its (PC) also my Stereo, TV and Games center.
Im also thinking of getting a bigger screen (maybe a new "Box" too for that matter). Watching TV shows and movies on a 19" Widescreen is nice but...

Basically ive got around 5k or so to spend on this "treat".

Wow, with that kind of funds spare, I, personally, would get in an excellent carpenter to build a purpose built entertainment/pc centre.

Suggestion: - Why not sit down in a quiet moment, & design one to suit your lounge, then get a capenter to give you a quote?

Then get a top quality GPU & save getting a monitor & use the plasma instead. If that's your intention, I would definitely get a good carpenter in & maybe get him to design a quality workarea to suit both your needs & the layout of the lounge. I wouldn't be surprised if you had a fair bit of change left over.

Machine Mart

These are the ones I've purchased & they are available in several colours - black, red, blue & silver. I liked the idea of being able to use them in various configurations, so purchased 2.
